May 2022 Goals
May 2022 Goals
I am struggling still with my health, both mental and physical, as one affects the other. The stress of setting deadlines for myself and having to meet grant requirements in a timely manner is causing a lot of anxiety …which has ulcerated my stomach.
I'm setting a more relaxed schedule for myself in May. And yet I really need to get these grant requirements met so the anxiety can release.
I hope to finish improving my website accessibility soon. Then I need to create an online store and buy a printer. These things will hopefully bring this project to a close at the end of June if I remain on track. That should provide some relief because my actual deadline is in December.
Writing this out has clarified things for me and I've just now decided I will push all book editing out until after I finish my grant requirements.
Creatively, I have a few projects I will continue and a few new ones to add to the mix.
Continue working on the EPP Triangle quilt
I am finishing up a denim skirt and will soon begin a matching 90s-inspired vest and capri set. I don't usually follow fashion trends but love the classic styling of this one.
Learn to use my new camera
Continue work on an abstract canvas multimedia painting
Make more cards
Finish book, Weaving Without a Loom, and try some of the methods to figure out what might work for a project I have in mind
Pick driftwood from the shore of Lake Superior for a textile bird sculpture
Begin gardening in earnest, improving color and pollinator interest, adding fruits, berries, dirt, organic fertilizers, transplanting as needed
Pick back up the fabric manipulation samples I was making and work on them again
Journal as much as possible as so much is happening outside right now!
